My espresso machine blew a seal at 8am, waited 14 days for parts from Seattle Coffee Gear
Last weekend, went to pull my usual double shot for my wife and I around 8am and heard a loud hiss. Steam started pouring out from behind the group head, ended up being a blown O-ring on the boiler feed line. I had to tear down my Silvia with a tiny wrench set I keep in the garage, found the cracked ring after 45 minutes of hunting. Ordered the replacement from Seattle Coffee Gear, but it shipped from their east coast warehouse and took 14 days to get here. In the meantime I used a French press, which was fine, but I'm wondering if anyone else keeps a spare gasket kit on hand for emergencies or just rides it out?
