Can we discuss the push for perfect coffee every time?
I was at a friend's coffee brunch where everyone was fussing over brew times and bean origins. I have to say, I think this need for a flawless cup can kill the vibe. In my experience, a good chat and a warm mug matter more than hitting exact numbers. I served coffee from my basic drip machine, and a guest quietly asked if I had a better set up. It felt odd because the coffee tasted fine to me. I get that people have their preferences, but the pressure to always aim high seems over the top. That small exchange left me feeling out of place, but it reminded me that coffee should bring people together, not divide them.
