I've noticed this same thing with my car, my wifi router, and honestly my own back pain. We jump straight to the big fix because it feels like we're doing something, when the real answer is usually some small setting we skipped past. Two clicks on a grinder is nothing, but changing it feels like admitting we were wrong, so we keep dumping in more coffee and hoping. My router sat there getting rebooted for a week before I found out the cable was just loose.

Forty minutes though? That guy actually pulled out his phone and scrolled the whole episode list right there at the library on Colfax? Pretty sure that man just wanted to win the argument, not talk about anime. Arguing that hard over filler is wild, like anybody is really out here defending the Bount arc with a straight face.
