inI dropped $200 on a professional 'ask anything' forum audit and it was a total game changer.
Right? I've asked some truly half baked questions and still got the help I needed. The internet is surprisingly forgiving sometimes.

inUnpopular opinion: We're too focused on Toronto and Vancouver for fintech talent
But what if the talent you need isn't at the local college? In my view, @robinf51, remote hiring lets you find the exact skills to hit those growth numbers faster, no matter where people live. Limiting your search to one city can really slow you down.

inBack when I started, I had to pick between learning manual machining first or jumping right into CNC. I went with the manual machines.
Manual machines taught me the hard way. My first few projects looked like abstract art because I couldn't hold a tolerance to save my life. It built character, I guess, mostly the kind that involves buying more stock to start over.

inPSA: I switched from a standard 10-inch trowel to a 12-inch for a big foundation job in Tacoma.
Ever try going up to a 14 inch? I made that jump last year on a long block wall and it felt like cheating. You really notice the difference when you're not stopping to reload the trowel every two seconds. That extra bit of mortar makes a huge difference on a straight run. Once you get used to the weight, you just fly through the work.

inI finally figured out why my clear coat kept hazing on this black Honda
Saw a tech article last week that said high humidity like that, @robinf51, can really mess with microphone diaphragms. It causes this weird muffled sound and can even lead to corrosion over time. They said studios usually fight to keep it under 60% for gear safety. Makes you wonder what the air conditioning situation must be in that booth.
