inI dropped $200 on a professional 'ask anything' forum audit and it was a total game changer.
My own questions are often so poorly worded I'm shocked when I get a real answer. It's like I'm testing the patience of strangers with my keyboard mashing. The fact that people still take the time to help is a small miracle. I guess we've all been there, trying to ask for help while our brain is still booting up. It's nice to know the web isn't just for the clear and eloquent.

inVent: Tried the 'no salt until the end' pasta water thing and it was a total fail
My friend Mark tried salting his water after the pasta was already boiling last week. His spaghetti tasted like cardboard, no flavor at all. He's back to salting from the start now.

inA client told me my website looked like a 2005 Geocities page and they were right
Oh man, ours was straight from a template site.

inRant: My neighbor's sump pump flood last spring made me buy a backup
Watched my buddy's finished basement get wrecked last summer. His primary pump quit during a storm and he had no backup. Had to tear out all that new carpet and the drywall up to two feet. The real kicker was the smell, that damp moldy smell that just wouldn't go away for weeks. Makes that backup pump cost seem pretty small now, doesn't it?

inVent: A client's kid asked me why I fix things instead of just buying new ones
Feel that kid's comment deep down.
