Tried a new way to get my neighbor's cat out of my garage and it backfired
I left the side door of my garage open for about twenty minutes while I was bringing in some bags. When I went to close up, I saw my neighbor's big orange cat, Buster, just sitting on my workbench like he owned the place. I tried the usual stuff, shaking the treat bag and calling his name, but he just blinked at me. So I got the bright idea to use a laser pointer from a drawer, thinking I could lead him right to the door. I pointed the little red dot on the floor and he jumped down, which was good. But then I moved the dot toward the open door, and instead of going out, he chased it in a wild circle, knocked over a box of old paint cans, and then shot straight up the ladder to my loft storage, where he's now hiding. I learned that laser pointers make cats crazy, not smart. Now I have to wait for him to get bored and come down on his own. Has anyone else had a pet rescue plan go totally wrong?
