inVisited a job site in Portland, saw everyone using a 90-ton for work a 50-ton could handle
Does the insurance actually require a bigger crane or is it just an excuse to avoid having the foreman think about the lift? In my experience, bigger feels safer on paper but it just adds more delays and wear on the machine.

inWhy does nobody talk about how fast crops grow in Stardew Valley in winter?
You mentioned winter crops taking 4 days with speed-gro and agriculturist-I tried that last playthrough and it’s actually wild how much gold you can rack up from winter seeds if you plant them in big batches, like turning the whole greenhouse into a winter crop factory before spring hits.

inRant: I swore by picking individual stocks until the market dip wiped out my gains last week
It's kind of like when people think they need a fancy espresso machine at home, you know? They buy all this gear and expensive beans and then realize they just want a simple cup of coffee in the morning without the cleanup. Sometimes the basic, boring option is actually what saves you the headache and the money in the long run.

inWarning: My $40 magnesium fire starter left me shivering in the rain for 45 minutes
...and honestly that price jump isn't always the answer either. I got a nice ferro rod from a local outdoors store last year and had it fail on me too when my hands were too cold to hold it steady. The real trick I've found is carrying a tiny piece of fatwood or a vaseline cotton ball in a waterproof case, then you don't even need a perfect spark every time. My buddy swears by those electric arc lighters but they're way too finicky for real wet weather, just more things to break in the field.

inHad a senior tech tell me static is a myth... until I zapped a drive
Oh, I get what you're saying, @grace89, but I gotta gently push back on the "three feet away" part. Static can definitely cause damage, but the distance thing is kinda tricky. The basic rule is you usually need a direct path for the zap, like through a metal tool or your finger touching the component. A spark jumping through dry air that far is super rare unless you're dealing with some serious voltage, like from a carpet shuffle on a really dry day. I've seen it happen maybe twice in my years messing with electronics, and both times it was right next to the board, not three feet out. You're totally right that it's real damage though (I've swapped out a few fried PSUs myself), just wanted to clarify the range thing so people don't think it's magic or something.
