My neighbor's fancy coffee maker gave up on a Tuesday morning
It was a Breville Barista Touch, and it just flashed an error code after grinding the beans. Everyone on our street swears by these things, but I had to run to the gas station for a terrible cup. Has anyone had a machine fail right at the worst time?

Wait, it died after grinding the beans? That's just cruel. It did the loud part and then bailed on the actual coffee. Those error codes are the worst, like it's mocking you.

My old DeLonghi did that exact thing for three years straight. Honestly, I started seeing the grinding as the main event and the coffee as a nice bonus if it happened. Those error codes became a weird morning ritual, like the machine was just checking in to say hello before going back to sleep.
