inSpent $180 on a folding e-scooter for my 2 mile commute and it saved me 40 minutes a day, so why do I feel dumb about it
40 minutes a day for 180 bucks is a steal, math doesn't lie here.

inMy $140 press cloth purchase felt dumb until I used it once
That $140 press cloth sounds like the world's most expensive dish towel until it saves a silk cover, then suddenly it's a bargain. My version of this was a $90 pair of thread snips that I swore I'd regret, but they cut cleaner than anything I owned before. Funny how the tools that feel dumb at checkout end up being the ones you grab every single day.

inOverheard a kid at the supply store trash talk anvils he's never used
Some 22 year old at a supply store on 82nd has opinions about gear he has never used, and that is supposed to be a big deal? Guys say dumb stuff at that age about everything from anvils to trucks, and half of them grow out of it by 30. Spending my day getting mad about a kid running his mouth seems like a bigger waste of time than the anvil he was trashing.
