Let a stranger at the Santa Fe flea market talk me into swapping my old cooler for a dented Dutch oven
I had a beat up Coleman cooler I was trying to get $20 for at the flea market off Cerrillos Rd and this older guy offered me a rusty 12 inch cast iron Dutch oven instead of cash. I almost said no but took it, took it home, scrubbed it down with steel wool and now I use it more than any pot in my kitchen. Anyone else ever done a trade that seemed dumb at the time and ended up being the best swap ever?
