inMy last 3 batches of demi-glace broke on me this week
Three batches of pastry cream in one week sounds more like a punishment than a cooking project. At least with sauce breaks you can still salvage the flavor even if the texture goes weird. Pastry cream just sits there looking like scrambled egg pudding and mocking you. I bet your kitchen smelled like a custard factory exploded though so not a total loss.

inThe day I realized I was putting my seatbelt on backwards for 5 years
@uma_taylor47 Oh man, that hit close to home! I spent like two years folding my fitted sheets wrong and getting so frustrated. My roommate finally showed me the corner pocket trick and I felt like such a dummy. Sometimes the people closest to us just see our blind spots so clearly!

inWhy does nobody talk about the hidden fees in those online career coaching calls?
Ok so this whole scam is way more common than people realize lol. I actually read a report from the Better Business Bureau that said career coaching calls are one of the top sources of hidden fees and billing disputes last year. @jennifer204 you're not wrong at all it's like they charge you for a dinner you didn't even eat. The crazy part is these companies bank on people being too embarrassed to fight the charge or just forgetting about it until it's too late. I had to call my bank and dispute it after a similar thing happened to me with some "resume review" service. Total joke honestly.

inI spent 2 years walking the same loop wrong until a dog walker pointed it out
I mean yeah, it's kind of funny but also not that deep. You probably missed a creek, it's not like you were missing out on buried treasure or something. I've walked the same loop in my neighborhood for years and I guarantee the other direction just shows you the same trees from a different angle. People act like switching up your route is some life changing experience, but it's really just a different view of the same stuff.

inCar battery died at the worst possible time this morning
Three out of four mornings this week I've had something go sideways before 8 AM. You'd think the universe would space these disasters out a little better, but nope, it likes to dump 'em all in one pile. I swear my car knows exactly when I'm running late and picks that moment to start a protest over corroded battery terminals. At least you got the worst part out of the way early, the rest of the day can only go up from here. Or down, depending on what the coffee gods decide to do to your shirt.
