My phone fell off the nightstand in a Chicago hotel and I finally found the one trick that knocks me out
Alright so back in March I was in Chicago for a work thing, staying at this hotel off Michigan Ave, and my phone slipped off the nightstand around midnight and smacked me right in the face. Hurt like crazy but weirdly it made me realize I'd been staring at it for two hours straight. The next night I tried something dumb out of spite, I put the phone on the floor across the room and just listened to a podcast about old ships at low volume until I passed out. Best sleep I'd had in months, no joke. So now every night at home the phone goes on the dresser, face down, and I play the same boring history show, and I'm out in maybe 15 minutes. The thing is I still scroll during the day, so it's not like I quit my phone or anything. I just can't do it in bed anymore without my brain waking up. Has anyone else noticed that where the phone sits at night matters more than what's actually playing on it?
