Worst Monday in 14 years of laying brick: one pallet sitting in the rain all weekend
Showed up at 6am in Cincinnati to find the whole 500 count pallet of red clay commons soaked through because the tarp blew off Friday night, and every single unit turned to mush the second my trowel touched it, so has anyone figured out a way to save a wet pallet or do I just eat the cost and reorder?

That line about every single unit turning to mush is what gets me, because once brick gets that far gone there's no real fixing it. Best you can do is stand them up on edge with gaps between each one and get air moving across them for a few days, but soaked red clay commons never come back right. They'll look fine on the outside and then crumble or spall once they're in the wall and the freeze hits, and that's a callback you don't want. For a 500 count pallet I'd eat it and reorder, then next time strap the tarp down with concrete blocks on the corners so the wind can't peel it.
