inThe fermented drink stand at my farmer's market has doubled its flavors since spring.
Totally get what you mean about it growing... I had the same thing with my ivy. Just started pruning it more often and that seemed to help.

inWarning: My nightly sky watch turned into a daily dose of calm.
Routines can start feeling like another item on the to-do list. I tried forcing a calm morning walk and it just became something else I was failing at. Now I skip it without guilt if I'm not feeling it. Peace shouldn't come with a schedule.

inRain barrels are popping up on every other porch now
Honestly saw one last week that was basically a giant terracotta urn with a spigot. Makes you wonder if this is still about saving water or just showing off. Like when did a simple plastic drum become too basic for suburbia? Tbh I'd rather spend that money on better soil or plants that actually need less watering.

inMy chocolate chip cookies didn't spread into puddles for once, lol
Chilling your dough overnight is the real hero for stopping spread. Using a cooler baking sheet might not do much if your dough is already cold. Cold dough slows down how fast the butter melts, so the pan's starting heat is less important. My go-to fix is to always use a kitchen scale for flour, because cups can be wrong. Why do so many recipes rely on cups when weight is better? Also, pulling cookies out when they look slightly underdone lets them finish on the hot pan.

inWhy does nobody talk about the rise of pre-cut trim packages?
Yeah, exactly. We did a whole track home development last fall with a pre cut package, six different trim profiles. Sure, some corners needed a shave, but having every piece labeled and ready to go meant the new guys couldn't mess up the lengths. The fit was about 95% there, and that last 5% was still faster than cutting from scratch.
