Actually I think you've got it backwards in my case. That heavy tent IS the freedom choice for bad weather. Being stuck in a tiny coffin for three days of rain feels like a prison. The extra weight buys you the space to move, play cards, dry gear. It's trading physical weight for mental weight off your shoulders. Efficiency isn't always about the lightest gear.

What dub even comes close? @masongonzalez nailed it about the voices matching the look, that's the whole magic. I still get chills during the final scene because of that perfect delivery.

I used to burn my coal way too fast until a guy at the Knoxville hammer-in showed me his trick.

Yeah, the depth is key. I messed up my first few tries by making it too thin. It just crumbled and I was back to burning raw coal. Now I go for a solid four inches minimum before I even think about adding fresh fuel. Lets that thermal mass really build up. What do you do when it's time to add more coal? Just sprinkle it on top, or do you bank it to one side first?
