inVent: The day a delivery van full of peonies got a flat tire in the rain
Grab a stack of clean, dry towels the second you get them inside. You have to blot each stem and flower head dry, don't rub or you'll wreck the petals. Like @gavinwells said, the bruising is real, but if you dry them fast and keep them cold, a lot of them will bounce back. I lay everything out on tables with fans on low, and you'd be surprised how many straighten up after a few hours. The ones with obvious brown spots go straight to the discount bucket, but the rest usually make it.

inThe way my kid builds with blocks made me rethink my setup sheet
Watched my neighbor try to assemble a grill without the instructions first... made me finally laminate my drill press cheat sheet.

inThe week I learned the hard way about not backing up my code
Backing up is a waste of time for most people. The_xena, that sinking feeling is just panic, not a sign you did something wrong. Drives are super reliable now. How many people actually lose their vacation photos or tax documents? Almost nobody. It's fear-mongering. Spending money on cloud storage or extra drives for a tiny chance of disaster is silly. Just use the computer and stop worrying.

inRemember when we only had one type of clipper guard?
Seriously? I'm with @stellanelson... it's just clippers, not brain surgery.

inLooking through some old comics I found a price tag that stopped me
My Amazing Spider-Man 300 had a 75 cent sticker from a mall bookstore. It's wild.
