Guy must be 60 years old, been welding since Reagan was in office. Said I was wasting gas and time with a rosebud on 1 inch plate. Told me to switch to a dual flame tip instead. Cut my preheat time from 15 minutes to like 6. Anyone else get roasted by an old head and actually learn something?

Grabbed my rotary brush and went at it for about 45 minutes, then ran a camera up to check for cracks. The liner held up but I told them they need to sweep every year not every 3. Has anyone else run into hidden fires like that in older masonry?

So I was hosting a bad movie night a few months ago, and I hit skip intro on this wild 90s action flick. My buddy Jen goes 'dude, the credits are half the fun, you're missing the terrible synth soundtrack and weird font choices.' She was right, I realized I'd been skipping past gold like mismatched actor names and fake production companies. Now I make everyone watch every single second of the intro, has anyone else found hidden gems in the opening credits of a terrible movie?

I've been cutting hair for about 4 years now and usually I mess up at least one blend per day, but last Tuesday every client from 9am to 5pm left with a clean fade. No idea what changed, maybe I was just in a zone or something. Has anyone else ever had a random perfect day like that or am I just lucky?

Discovered a weird fix for a dead power supply board

Had a Samsung TV power supply that showed no standby voltage at all. Checked caps, fuses, the usual stuff, nothing. Out of frustration I hit the main transformer with a heat gun for about 30 seconds and it fired right up. Been running fine for 3 weeks now. Anyone else ever tried heating up a transformer to get a board back to life?

Brand new bandsaw blade snapped on me mid-cut yesterday

I was breaking down a big pork shoulder at work yesterday, maybe 30 pounds, and about halfway through the first cut the blade just gave out. Scared the daylights out of me. The steel snapped right at the weld joint, and the tension sent the blade whipping around inside the saw housing. Luckily nobody was standing too close. I had just put that blade on that morning, a 14 TPI from a supplier I've used for years. I checked the tension before I started and everything seemed fine. I had to stop production for about 20 minutes to clean up the mess and swap in a backup blade. Has anyone else had a new blade fail at the weld like that?
