I finally figured out why my phone battery kept dying by 2 PM
For months, I was blaming the phone itself (a Pixel 7, if you care) and was ready to buy a new one. I'd charge it to 100% overnight and still be scrambling for an outlet after lunch. The tipping point was last Tuesday, when I was trying to get a concrete pour schedule off my email and it died at 1:30. I got mad and actually looked at the battery usage page, something I'd never done before. Turns out, a weather app I downloaded for job sites was running in the background constantly, updating my location every five minutes. I deleted it right then, and my battery now makes it to bedtime easy. Has anyone else had a single app wreck their battery life like that?
