Pro tip: I watched a CISO walk out of a booth at RSA because the pitch was all fear

Man, that's a great line. I stopped leading with breach stats and just show how it quiets the daily noise for the team. They already know the threats, they want less hassle.

Finally got the 737's autopilot to pass its final functional test after three days of chasing a ghost in the system.

A single pin backed out a millimeter at station 245 is the kind of thing that gives me nightmares. Three days for that, I would have lost my mind. The patience to re-run the entire harness check is next level. Huge respect for sticking with it and actually finding the ghost.

Showerthought: My kid's history book said the pyramids were tombs, but a podcast made me question it

Wait, they don't point to the stars? That's the main thing I've always heard. Honestly that kind of blows my mind, I thought that was solid fact. What's the podcast saying they point to then?

My neighbor said his old 10-speed shifts better than any modern bike after I fixed it

But what if the old tool just works better? @dianaanderson might be overthinking it, sometimes people stick with stuff cause the new version is actually worse.

Trying to find a single missing piece for my vintage board game collection turned into a two-year hunt

That hunt sounds so familiar, it's the worst when a simple piece goes missing. Honestly, a complete set feels so much better to me. Finding that exact 1978 thimble must have been a huge relief, like finally solving a puzzle. The story is cool, but having it all together is the real win.
