inJust finished my 500th piece and it's a weird feeling
Love how @jenny_hall called it a map of hours, that's so true. My own log is full of notes about why things went wrong, which turns the count into a story of what you learned, not just what you made. Do you ever look back at your early notes and laugh at what you didn't know?

inTIL my interview suit still had the security tag on it when I walked into the office in Denver.
Oh god, did you walk out of the wedding with the security thing still on the dress?

inI thought those new digital calipers were just a gimmick until I had to measure a thousandth of an inch tolerance on a part for a client in Denver last year and the old vernier ones just weren't cutting it...
But is a tape measure fail, @ray_miller84, really that big a deal?

inI was at the local library's repair cafe in Portland and a guy showed me how to fix my old cassette deck with a pencil
Ever try to fix something and just make it worse? I'm pretty sure I'd break the pencil trying that trick. Wesley_adams is right though, it's wild what you can do with simple stuff.
