Just got my first real shot of the Milky Way core after a crazy clear night

I drove out to Joshua Tree last Friday hoping for good skies, but the air was so still and dry it was unreal. I set up my old Canon 6D on a basic tripod and just did a 25 second exposure at f/2.8. When I checked the screen, the detail in the dust lanes was way better than I ever got before. Has anyone else had a night where everything just clicked like that?
