A guy at the Daytona tire shop caught my torque wrench fail in front of a customer
I was doing a rotate on a Camry at the shop off International Speedway Blvd when my clicker never clicked and I gunned a lug to maybe 200 ft lbs. Bought a $60 digital one that night and now I check it every Monday, what do you all use to keep yours honest?
Check how often your digital one drifts after it sits in a cold toolbox overnight. Mine read 3 lbs low once the temp dropped and that was enough to scare me. Do you test at the low end too or just click it a few times at 80 and call it good? Curious what number you're actually chasing when you check it.
