DAE finally figure out they were boarding the express train instead of the local and adding 25 minutes to their trip?
For two years I stood on the same platform at 7:40 every morning and just got on whatever train showed up first. I never looked at the signs because I figured all trains on that track went the same way. Then a guy in a Red Sox cap asked me if the 7:42 was the express and I said I had no idea, I just get on. He pointed at the board and said the express skips 6 stops and only saves time if your stop is one of the last ones, otherwise you ride past your station and walk back. My stop is the third one, so I had been riding 25 minutes past it and doubling back on foot for years. Tried the local the next morning and walked in my door at 6:05 instead of 6:40. Has anyone else been loyal to the wrong train without ever reading the sign?
