Paying for that little chamfer up front is way cheaper than a callback. I run a block plane or a quick router pass on the back edge of every bottom before assembly and it takes seconds. You can also knock the sharp corner off with 80 grit on a sanding block if the drawer is already built, just keep the block flat so you don't round the whole edge. The humid week is what gets you because that sharp edge grabs the runner once the wood swells a hair. Skip it and you're the guy getting the call six months later.
