LGS on 5th in Portland had open tables but a $10 cover charge, is pay-to-play killing the scene or saving it?
Stopped by a game store in Portland last Saturday and saw they now charge $10 just to sit at a table. The owner says it keeps out the crowd that camps for 6 hours buying nothing, but two guys walked out when they heard the price. Does a cover fee bring in serious players or just push casual folks to buy games online?
