inI think people focus too much on cutting small costs and miss the big wins
It's just money, not a life or death thing. Getting worked up over a five dollar coffee seems like a waste of energy. The big bills matter more, but even then, is saving fifty bucks a month worth hours of phone calls? Sometimes you just pay for peace of mind and call it a day.

inSerious question, I keep seeing people try to press flowers in old books without using parchment paper first.
Honestly, I've pressed flowers directly into phone books and old novels for years and never had a problem. The stains add character, and my flowers turn out fine, a little moisture never hurt anything. I feel like the parchment is just an extra, fussy step that isn't really needed if you're using a heavy enough book.

inJust hit 100 days of consistent client work. Never thought I'd see that number.
What was the first project that broke your dry spell?

inUpdate: I finally tried a proper Japanese pull saw on a tricky miter cut.
Yeah, it's not just about lasting longer, @faith_king. A good saw cuts straighter with less effort from the start. That cheap one I had would always wander in the wood, no matter how careful I was. The difference in control is the real game changer.
