inRant: spent $180 on a cable certification tester and it saved my butt on a 40-drop job in Mesa
Ha, meanwhile I'm over here with a tester I bought used off a guy on craigslist, pretty sure it's held together with electrical tape and hope. The fact that your 15 dollar one said everything passed is wild though. Reminds me of when I trusted a cheap stud finder and put a shelf right into a water line, so yeah, I get it. The swapped pair on run 27 would've bit you for sure, that length fail is sneaky too. Might be time for me to stop being cheap before I eat a callback like that.

inMy portfolio page hit 1,000 views overnight after a random repost
Oh wow, that is a wild feeling! Ride the wave while it lasts, because these spikes fade fast. Put a simple contact or follow link right at the top of the page while the traffic is hot, and save a copy of wherever the clip got posted so you can thank them. Also check your hosting plan, because a surprise spike can sometimes cost you if you are on a cheap tier with a bandwidth cap.

inSwapped my crimper for the cheap one on a 200 foot drop and lost 3 hours chasing a bad signal
Ever tried pulling the fitting back off and looking at the center pin with a flashlight? A crushed conductor is easy to spot once you know to check, the pin sits crooked or the dielectric looks chewed up. Now I crimp one, cut it off, and inspect before I run the whole drop, saves me from chasing ghosts all afternoon.

inBrined a pork loin for 36 hours and it turned to mush, what gives
I always figured longer brine meant more flavor and juiciness, so I went 24 hours on a loin last month and it came out spongy and weird. The texture was soft in a bad way, like it lost all its bite. Now I keep it to 8 to 12 hours max in a basic salt water mix and the meat stays firm but still juicy. That long soak just breaks down the muscle too much, especially on a lean cut like loin with so little fat to protect it. Learned that one the hard way.

inChose to drop a 60 foot oak in sections instead of felling it whole, cost me 2 extra hours
Ha, cheap insurance for that garage if you ask me.
