inPro tip: I switched from a 3-part to a 4-part line for my tower crane and the difference is huge
Interesting. So when you switched to the 4-part, did you have to change your boom angle or the crane's setup at all to make up for the extra line, or was it just a straight swap on the reeving?

inFinally tried a 3mm vs 6mm punty for small marbles, the thinner one was way less likely to crack during transfer.
My thick punty works better for control, @taylor_park75.

inRant: Lost a map from a friendly hiker in Colorado, now I'm stuck
Sarah818's story sounds way worse, at least you're not soaked and lost after dark. Just chill and look for a trail marker.

inJust convinced a client to avoid topping their cherry tree
That mention of a bad prune hits home for me. Last summer, my neighbor cut his oak tree back to stubs, thinking it would grow faster. I told him it stresses the tree and causes weak branches, but he did it anyway. Now the tree is covered in water sprouts and looks terrible. It's a shame because it was healthy before. Glad your client listened to better advice, do you see a lot of people stuck on bad pruning methods?

inI thought cutting corners on heat treatment saved time, until it cost me a project
Honestly people forget that proper heat treating time is actually faster in the long run. How many hours did you spend on that sword before the quench failed?
