My boss asked me to 'think outside the box' so I literally built a cardboard fort around my desk.

I mean, it was a slow Tuesday and he said our brainstorming session needed more creative energy, so I spent 45 minutes with a box cutter and some packing tape from the supply closet, and now HR wants a 'brief chat' about office structures.

My buddy Dave did something like that once, he took the "blue sky thinking" thing literally and filled his whole cubicle with blue post-it notes. Took him two hours, and then the fire marshal showed up because someone thought it was a smoke cloud.

Hahaha that's amazing, @alex_wilson79. Dave is a legend. We had a guy who covered his whole office chair in bubble wrap after a meeting about "thinking outside the box." He said it was his new "idea bubble." The crinkling noise drove everyone nuts for a week, and he kept popping it during client calls. Management finally made him take it off.

Wait, did the guy with the bubble wrap chair actually think it would help him brainstorm, or was he just being funny? I'm trying to picture the client calls, like did he try to explain the crinkling or just act like it wasn't happening?
