inThat $40 oven thermometer from Bed Bath & Beyond saved my banana bread and my ego
Wait, 50 degrees hot?? That's wild, no wonder your bread was coming out like a brick, that's not even close to a small swing, that's a whole different oven at that point. I'm sitting here wondering if mine is doing the same thing and I've just been blaming myself and my flour for years like an idiot. The fact that a $40 little dial knew the truth the whole time and your oven was just quietly lying to your face is kind of blowing my mind. Now I don't trust anything in my kitchen, the thermometer on my fridge, the dial on my toaster, all of it is suspect.

inBought a $12 thank you card set for my boss and spent 40 hours on a skill that mattered zero
The "I don't know what you do all week" moment is brutal but it's the wake up call most of us need. What worked for me was asking my manager straight up what one thing would make their life easier, then dropping the busy work nobody noticed.

inTIL the old guy at the yarn shop was right about my tension and I hate admitting it
The lady at my local shop caught me throwing the yarn with my whole arm instead of just my wrist and it was night and day once I fixed it. What helped me most was slowing way down for a couple weeks and really watching how the yarn feeds off my finger. It feels weird at first but your hands do adjust, and the fit is worth it.
