Am I the only one who got hit with a $78 comic order because I forgot about a pull list from 2019?
So here's what happened. Last month I was cleaning out my email and found a receipt from a shop in Portland I hadn't stepped foot in since 2019, back when I had a pull list there for about six months. I figured the shop closed during covid like half the others did, so I never thought twice about it. Then a box shows up at my door with 14 floppies inside and a note saying my account had a balance and they'd been holding my pulls the whole time. Turns out the owner sold the shop to his nephew, who never cleared out the old pull list files and just kept pulling whatever was on them. The worst part is I bought all 14 issues anyway because I felt bad, and three of them were variant covers I never asked for. Took me a whole evening to figure out which ones I actually wanted to keep. Anyone else ever get surprised by a shop that never marked your list as dead, or is this just a Portland thing?
