Kinda makes you wonder if the soap thing only works in super dry places. Where I am the humidity turns soap gummy fast, but wax holds up better with the weather changes.

Isn't that vinegar method just risking more damage to the wood? Acid and heat sound like a great way to dry out the grain or leave stains you can't fix later. I'd stick with a proper chemical stripper made for the job, it's controlled and predictable.

Read somewhere that 'measure twice, cut once' is cliche because it's painfully true. Who has time to redo a whole detail because you rushed?

Feel this so much. My chicken and rice turned into sad mush by Wednesday every single time. Takes all the fun out of eating when it feels like a chore.
