Warning: my bike chain snapped on the Market Street bridge yesterday morning and I had to walk the rest of the way to work.
It was a brand new KMC chain I'd only put on 2 weeks ago, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had issues with their chains failing that fast.

Wow, a brand new chain? That's wild. Maybe it was just a bad link or something.

Seriously, a two week old chain? That's brutal. I had the same thing happen with a brand new chain last fall, just totally gave out on a hill. It felt like such a waste of money and time. Mine was a different brand, but it makes you wonder about quality control these days. I ended up checking the whole thing and found one link was just poorly put together.
