inBus driver on the 7:15 in Denver waited a full 90 seconds for a guy running in the rain
Ninety seconds of dead silence while thirty people stare at the clock and a soaked guy does the walk of shame to his seat? That driver basically turned the bus into a reality show for a minute and a half. Meanwhile my driver hits the gas the second he sees a reflection in the mirror, like he's fleeing a crime scene. But hey, fair is fair, "no one gets left in this weather" is a pretty solid line to drop before you make everyone late. Wish my driver had even half that heart.

inFound out a paperback costs more to make than the ebook license my club pays at the library
That $45 for 2 years works out to about $1.88 a month for a whole club to share, which makes the $270 paperback run look even worse. But here's the thing the "real book" side keeps skipping: those 6 paperbacks don't vanish after one read. Our club has a shelf in the back of the coffee shop with maybe 40 books from past picks, and people grab them all the time. So the paperback isn't a one-time cost, it's more like buying a copy the whole group can use for years plus new members who join later. The ebook license actually expires, so after 2 years you've got nothing to pass around. That flips the math a bit, right?

Watched a vendor at RSA booth pitch a CISO for 4 minutes and never once said the word "platform"
4 minutes on one broken thing beats a 40 slide deck every time.
