Just a heads up, my bathroom tile project took 3 weekends because of a hidden layer of old linoleum adhesive.

Did the heat gun trick @the_christopher mentioned really help with that tar stuff?

Watched a crew in Tacoma pour a driveway last week and they were still using a magnesium float on the first pass. That's a rookie move that guarantees you'll fight bleed water all day.

Read an article from a concrete supplier that said using a magnesium float too early traps the bleed water under the surface. It forces you to keep working it back out, which can really mess up the finish. They recommended a wood float or even just a darby for that first pass to let the water escape. Makes sense if you think about it.

Warning: my old phone's battery swelled up after I left it on a wireless charger overnight for a week straight.

That's actually the charger stopping when the battery is full. The swelling was probably from the battery being old and worn out already. Heat can speed it up, but the charger itself isn't constantly feeding it power.

A beta tester said my AI's responses felt too robotic and it clicked

Wait, you had to rewrite ALL the prompts from scratch? That sounds like a huge amount of work. I'm surprised the first version was that far off. How many prompts are we talking about here? I had to tweak mine a lot, but a full rewrite sounds brutal.

Tried a new brush pack for a portrait and the skin texture came out way better than I expected

Totally get what you mean about that click feeling. I bought a fancy brush once because a tutorial said to, and my work looked worse, like I was fighting the tool. So maybe @grantw32 has a point about the skill coming first. But sometimes a cheap brush just fits your hand right and gets out of the way, letting you do what you already know. It's like finding the right keyboard for typing, you know? Ever have a tool that just made things worse instead of better?
