My band saw decided to retire in the middle of a big order
It happened yesterday afternoon while I was breaking down a side of beef for a local restaurant. The motor just gave a loud pop, smoked a little, and stopped dead. I had to finish the whole order by hand with a breaking knife, which took me over two extra hours. Has anyone else had a major tool quit at the worst possible time, and what did you do to get back on track?

Ever notice how stuff always breaks right when you need it most? I mean, my backup generator gave out during a storm last winter, so maybe it's just the universe's weird timing.

Honestly, doesn't it feel like tools and appliances wait for the worst moment to break? My car battery died the morning I had to get to a job interview, and my home AC quit on the hottest weekend of the year. It's like they have a secret meeting to ruin your plans.
