My grocery store moment that saved me $50 a week
I was at the Kroger on Main Street last month, staring at my cart full of random stuff. The cashier, an older lady named Betty, just casually said, 'You know, you buy the same things every week, but never the big packs.' I started buying the family-sized packs of chicken and rice and splitting them into portions at home. It felt like a small change, but my weekly grocery bill dropped from $120 to about $70. Has anyone else had a simple store tip that made a big difference?

Honestly bulk buying just leads to more food waste at my house.

Switched to buying just the stuff we eat every single week in bulk, like rice and pasta. Tbh it cut our waste way down because we actually use it. The random stuff we still get in normal sizes.

I saw a study from the University of Arizona that said the average family throws out like 25% of the food they buy. It's crazy. They found bulk buying stuff you don't eat regularly is a huge part of the problem.
