Showerthought: Getting quicker at tracing circuits made a big difference for me

I noticed a lot of guys are spending less time on troubleshooting by getting better at following wires. I practiced by mapping out old panels in my spare time. Now I can find faults faster without pulling everything apart. It really speeds up service calls.

My lily conditioning breakthrough after a messy start

I always messed up lilies by handling them too hard. A fellow florist showed me to trim the stems under water. Now, no more petal loss and they stay fresh for days. It's a simple change with huge results for my arrangements.

Touchscreen panels are making simple callbacks take twice as long

More buildings are getting elevators with those fancy touchscreen operation panels. When they freeze up, you can't just do a hard reset like with old button systems. You have to wait for the proprietary software to load on a computer, which eats up a lot of time on a service call. How do you handle these without throwing your tools?
