Serious thought, the unspoken rules of seat saving have really shifted.
I miss when a hat on a chair meant a quick break, not a half-day hold. Last Tuesday, I almost moved a lone tablet to sit, but it felt like a gray area.

That whole tablet and cable thing is just part of a bigger mess where stuff holds a spot for a person who might not come back for hours. It's like we've all agreed that leaving any object behind, a jacket or even a single notebook, turns a public seat into a private rental. Creates this awkward standoff where you're trying to guess if someone is in the bathroom or just working from home. The vibe in shared spaces is totally broken now because of it.

Yeah, that tablet situation would have stopped me too. The rules are totally messed up now. I feel the same way, like you can't tell what's actually saved anymore. I left a whole cafe yesterday because every seat had a charging cable but no person.

Got to carry a power bank now. It keeps you from needing those crowded charging spots. You can sit anywhere without worrying about cables.
