inHot take: Taking deposits saved my skin last month
I started doing 40% upfront after a client ghosted me mid project. Like @lunawest said, it really filters out people who aren't serious and makes them respect the work more.

inShowerthought: A wave to the mail carrier bloomed into our own little plant club.
It's kind of cool how that turns a basic daily chore into a real social check-in. Your mail person sees the whole street but actually connecting is rare. That's a nice little win.

inRant: I plugged my monitor into the motherboard instead of the GPU for weeks
Oof been there, @betty_jackson. Sometimes the fix is just one weird bios toggle away.

inSerious question, after grabbing a handmade map from a thrift store, I ended up visiting the town it depicted.
Mapping out adventures from thrift store finds seems a bit romanticized. These maps are often outdated or purely decorative, leading to wild goose chases. The notion that they hold hidden truths about forgotten places is appealing but largely fictional. Actual navigation requires more reliable tools than a stained paper from a bin. It's less about discovery and more about justifying a purchase that should have stayed donated. But hey, if it gets people outside, who am I to judge the methodology.
