Vent: A customer at the Saturday market called my work 'just a hobby'

I was selling some simple blown tumblers and a guy picked one up, asked the price, and said 'I guess that's fair for a hobby.' It happened right by my cash box. How do you handle people who don't get the skill involved?

How do people not see the work that goes into that? That's just rude.

Read a thing about a baker who spent 12 hours on a wedding cake, and the bride's mom just said "it's fine" without even looking. The details were insane, like hand-piped lace and sugar flowers that looked real. People just see the final thing, not the hours of work that went into it.
