My trusty old laser level finally gave up the ghost on a job in Eugene

It was a Bosch GLL 2-50 that I've had for about eight years, and it just stopped projecting a line halfway through setting up a tile grid. I had to run to the local hardware store and grab a new one to finish the day, which set me back a bit. Has anyone else had a favorite tool die at the worst possible time, and what did you replace it with?

I mean it's just a laser level, not like your truck broke down on the highway. Annoying for sure, but you got the job done. Tools die, it's part of the gig.

My buddy's DeWalt laser level lasted almost eight years before it finally quit. He was pretty impressed with that run.

Oh man, @kaih36 has a point but still. When your level dies mid job it throws everything off. You're standing there rechecking lines with a bubble level like it's the dark ages. It's just a special kind of frustration.
