inWatching a new farrier fumble with a sore-footed horse changed how I train apprentices.
That podcast episode you mentioned? I actually see it differently! From what I've seen, the point often doesn't hold up in real situations.

inTbh, I once fixed a flat tire only to find the customer had filled it with jellybeans.
Maybe they were onto something with a sweet, slow leak fix.

inShowerthought: My back doesn't hurt since I adjusted my chair height.
My desk at the last job was a solid inch too low for standard chairs. I had constant neck strain from looking down at my monitors all day. It took a new boss pointing it out before I even thought to check the chair height. Turns out, ergonomics isn't just a word they use in office safety videos. Now I measure the gap between my elbows and the desk like it's a religious ritual. Saves a fortune on painkillers, too.

inShowerthought: That dusty CPU cooler fix felt surprisingly good
Last Tuesday, I cleaned my neighbor's PC and it felt like a waste of time. That dust build up shows they don't care for their stuff, and fixing it for them just lets them keep bad habits. @lunag30 might find it satisfying, but to me it's just putting a patch on a bigger problem. The joy is short lived because the same issue will come back in a few months. It's not solving anything deep, just delaying what will happen again. Why celebrate a fix that doesn't teach anyone to prevent the problem?
