My phone fell in the sink and I fixed it with a bag of rice from 2018.

I was washing my hands and my Pixel 6 slid right into the full basin, so I panicked and grabbed this ancient bag of jasmine rice from the back of my pantry. After leaving it buried in there for two full days, the thing actually powered back on and works fine! Has anyone else had a weird fix like this actually work on a gadget?

Yeah taylor12 is right, it probably just dried out. People make the rice thing into a whole big deal for no reason.

Lmao that's wild but honestly, is a phone in rice for two days even a fix? Sounds like it just dried out on its own and you got lucky with some old pantry rice. People act like the rice does some magic pull on the water, but it's just sitting there. My buddy's phone survived a toilet drop and worked after he left it on a towel for a day, no rice needed.
