Appreciation post: I solved my floor squeak with a single nail

I was about to call a pro when I spotted the loose spot. One good hit with a hammer did the trick.

Hold up, you fixed it with just ONE nail? That squeak must have been whispering, not yelling. Every floor squeak I've ever dealt with needed like three screws and a prayer to even quiet down a little. My last one was a whole project involving finding the joist and still not getting it right. Are you sure it's actually gone for good and not just hiding?
