Rant: Our big webinar on ransomware got hijacked by a spam bot

We were running a live webinar last week for our endpoint security product, and about 20 minutes in, a bot started posting links to fake software in the public chat. It was a mess, and I had to jump in as the host to switch the chat to 'host only' mode on the fly. It totally killed the flow of our Q&A section, and we lost a bunch of live engagement. Has anyone else had to deal with this on Zoom or Teams, and what's your go-to plan to stop it?

Ugh, same thing happened to my team's last webinar, it completely derailed the whole vibe.

It's the worst when that happens. We had a speaker's mic cut out for five whole minutes and it just killed the momentum. Never really got it back.

Tech fails like that are a total vibe killer, @smith.anna, and it's so hard to recover.
