Our lead gen form crashed right after a big email blast went out

We sent a campaign to 50,000 contacts on Tuesday and the form just stopped accepting submissions for about two hours, which our devs said was due to a spike in traffic we didn't plan for.

Wait you sent an email to fifty thousand people and didn't think the form would get hit hard? That's like planning a party for a whole town and only buying one bag of chips. You gotta test that stuff under load before you hit send, man. Those two hours of dead leads must have hurt.

Remember watching our webinar sign-up page crash right as the keynote speaker started. We had over ten thousand people hitting refresh at once. The whole thing just froze for forty minutes. By the time we got it back, the chat was full of people asking for a refund. It felt like we handed out tickets to a concert but locked the doors.

My grocery store's self-checkout does this every Sunday. Right, @christopher943?
