I finally looked at our webinar sign-up numbers from before and after we switched to a shorter form

Honestly, we used to ask for seven fields, including company size and phone number. After cutting it down to just name, email, and job title last month, our completion rate jumped from 35% to almost 60%. Has anyone else seen a big win from simplifying a lead capture step?

Wow, I used to think more fields meant better leads, but @martinez.kim's story proves less is more.

Our old form asked for a LinkedIn profile link. I thought it was clever, but our drop-off was brutal. Cutting that one field alone doubled our submissions.

Yeah, that tracks. In my experience, that drop-off often happens because people either don't have a profile or feel weird about handing it over so early. It can feel like a big ask before any trust is built. You probably cut the friction in half by removing that mental step.
