My jar of beach glass went from a handful to a full gallon in just one year

I started picking up pieces on my morning walks along Lake Michigan near Chicago. At first I'd find maybe one or two smooth bits a week. Then I started going after big storms, and that's when it changed. After a windy day last October, I filled a whole pocket in 20 minutes. Has anyone else noticed a specific spot or time that really boosts your collection?

You saying "after big storms" made me realize I was doing it wrong. I used to only look on calm days, but the rough water must push more stuff up. Now I check the weather report before I go.

Exactly, storms are nature's reset button.

Yeah, checking the weather first is smart. I see that a lot, where the best time to do something is right after the worst time for something else.
