Used to scrub my perm rods with a toothbrush between clients. Now I just toss em in an ultrasonic cleaner I got for $60 on Amazon. Night and day difference. Anyone else upgrade their sanitation game recently?

Yeah @taylorc40, my ultrasonic gets everything clean no hand scrubbing needed.

Oh come on, you really think an ultrasonic gets into those tiny grooves on a rod guide completely? I've tried a few different ones over the years and they always leave that weird green algae or old line residue stuck in there. You gotta get a toothbrush or a rag and work it in by hand to really get it all out. Maybe if you run it like three times with fresh soap each time but who has time for that? I'm not saying it's useless or anything, it definitely helps with the bulk of the grime. But calling it no hand scrubbing needed seems like a stretch to me.

Does that ultrasonic cleaner actually get all the gunk out of the tiny rod grooves, or do you still have to hand scrub some spots?
