Just realized a dab of conditioner on my comb stops static in dry hair

I was doing a blowout on a client with very dry hair. The static was making it fly everywhere. On a whim, I put a tiny bit of conditioner on my wide-tooth comb. It smoothed the hair without weighing it down. Now I do this for all my clients with similar issues. It saves time and keeps the style neat. Plus, it uses product I already have on hand.

Doubt it's that serious (just static hair).

My hair's so dry it crackles like wrapping paper. I've been using water sprays that just make it frizzy, looking a bit desperate. Conditioner on the comb is a smart fix for my static mess.

My hair did the same crackly thing last winter in my old apartment. Claire_hart53 is right, conditioner on a wide-tooth comb saved me from looking like a shocked cartoon character. I still keep a travel bottle in my bag for bad static days.
