Found a way to get my crew to actually use the daily site logs
We were three months into a big apartment job in Tacoma and the daily logs were always late or wrong. I tried everything, even a bonus, but nothing stuck. Last month, I set up a simple Google Form on a tablet in the site office that auto-fills the date and project, and they just check boxes and add photos. Now the logs are done by lunch every day. Has anyone else found a tech fix for old paper habits that just won't die?

Ever try to get a seller to stop using those tiny paper flyers? @seanjackson is right about nailing things down. I put a cheap tablet with the listing page open on a stand by the door, now people just scroll instead of taking soggy paper.

Remember trying to get my guys to mark their material deliveries on a clipboard. The sheets were always soggy or lost. I finally bought one of those cheap waterproof phones and nailed it to a post by the gate with a big red button on the screen. Now they just tap it when a truck shows up and it texts me. It's not fancy but it solved the problem of nobody wanting to touch a wet notebook.

Love that you went straight to nailing a phone to a post. Sometimes the best tech fix is just giving up on paper and embracing the caveman approach.
